Meow! by RayPelesko Meow! by RayPelesko
Here's my portrait drawing of the model/performer Skin Diamond. It is based on a photo that I took of her. One of the most stunning women I've ever met in person. Really cool and gorgeous girl!

Graphite on paper, approximately 8" x 10"

Thanks Bonnie!! This is one of my favorite pieces I've done so far. Let me tell you, I really struggled with her knit hat. But I was really happy how her skin tones, glasses, and necklace turned out. I'm honored that my drawing caught your eye! :thanks:

sometimes when you're really struggling with something it can turn out to be your best work in the end! :)

Thanks Rob! I think of all my pieces, this one might be my favorite. Of course, it helps when the subject is as attractive as she is. ;)

And thank you very much for the watch!!

I notice that you are great at drawing teeth. I guess all that extra effort paid off. For me, the toughest part were drawing the hands in different poses and sometimes drawing a unique looking nose would get me :D.

Thanks man! If I'm honest, teeth, hands, and noses, all give me trouble as well. I spend a lot of time drawing and erasing until they look somewhat realistic. Just can't go too dark right away, as that always makes it more difficult.

When I was younger, I actually started with more of a comic-style influence, drawing full body illustrations. However, after struggling with proportions, hands, and feet, for many years, I realized I wouldn't have to draw them as much with portraits, haha! I guess I have more patience trying to get facial features accurate, as they all play a role in capturing a likeness.

Thanks man! She's a real beauty! When I saw her smile, I thought it would make a great portrait drawing. I'm really happy how it turned out! Cheers!
